November 19th is World Toilet
November 19th is World Toilet Day. This date was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013, with the aim of raising awareness among the population about the importance of access to adequate sanitation facilities and promoting hygiene and global health. The origin of the date is related to the need to address basic sanitation issues, since billions of people around the world still do not have access to safe and clean toilets. The problem of inadequate sanitation is directly linked to diseases such as diarrhea and cholera, which mainly affect children and vulnerable communities. World Toilet Day seeks to raise awareness about the importance of appropriate sanitation facilities, not only for public health, but also for the dignity and well-being of people.
