November 20th is Africa Industrialization
November 20th is Africa Industrialization Day. This date was established by the African Union in 1989, during the Conference of African Ministers of Industry, to promote the industrialization of the continent and highlight the importance of industrial development for economic growth and poverty reduction. The origin of the celebration refers to the need to boost industrialization in Africa, which is essential to diversify African economies, generate jobs and improve the quality of life. Africa Industrialization Day serves as a reminder to African countries of the importance of developing their industrial capacities and increasing their global competitiveness. In addition, the date also aims to foster cooperation between African countries and stimulate investment in strategic industrial sectors.
