October 28th is Animation
October 28th is Animation Day, to honor the art of animation and raise awareness of its cultural and educational importance. The date was chosen in honor of the first public screening of animated images, carried out by Charles-Émile Reynaud in 1892, with the film Pauvre Pierrot, at the Grévin Museum in Paris. Since 2002, ASIFA (International Association of Animated Film) has promoted this celebration, which takes place in more than 30 countries, including Brazil, the USA, France and Japan. Animation is a powerful form of storytelling and plays a fundamental role in education, advertising and entertainment, reflecting the traditions and values of societies.
