Petroleum is essential not only as a fuel, but is also present in products such as plastics, cosmetics, medicines, among others. The date was established in 1953, when President Getúlio Vargas sanctioned Law No. 2,004, creating Petrobras to manage the oil discovered in Brazil. The first economically viable deposit was found in 1939, in Recôncavo Baiano. In addition to fueling vehicles, petroleum and its derivatives are widely used, highlighting their versatility.
