World Sepsis
World Sepsis Day is a day designed to raise awareness about this serious and often fatal condition. Sepsis occurs when the body responds in an extreme way to an infection, leading to a series of complications that can be life-threatening. This date is celebrated on September 13th every year. During World Sepsis Day, various activities are carried out, such as awareness campaigns, educational events and dissemination of information on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sepsis. The goal is to educate the general public, healthcare professionals and policymakers about the importance of recognizing early signs of sepsis and acting quickly to reduce the risk of serious complications and death.
