Saint Marcelina 's Day is celebrated on July 17 , a fourth-century saint who inspired the founding of the Institute of the Marceline Sisters
She was born in Rome in 327, into a Christian family, and dedicated herself to the education of her siblings after the death of her parents. Marcelina consecrated her life to God as a virgin, receiving consecration from Pope Liberius in 353. She welcomed young men into her home for spiritual guidance and took care of the education of her brothers, including Ambrose, who became bishop of Milan. Marcelina worked alongside Ambrose until her death in 397, being venerated as saint and patroness of the Marceline Sisters.
