World Rock Day, celebrated on July 13 , is a tribute to the musical genre that transcends cultural borders, influencing generations and shaping the history of music over the decades. This date is recognized in Brazil as an annual celebration of rock, chosen in honor of Live Aid, a 1985 mega-event, which featured the participation of renowned artists of the genre, such as Queen, Mick Jagger, and U2. The show was attended by several famous artists of the time, such as The Who, Led Zeppelin, Madonna, among others, and drew attention to the cause of global poverty. In Brazil, World Rock Day gained popularity in the 1990s, when two radio stations in São Paulo, 89 FM and 97 FM, began to mention the date in their programming.
