The game's music producer, Daniel "C418" Rosenfeld, accidentally recorded the sound of his cat waking up from a nap. This sound was used to dub one of Minecraft's monsters, the Ghasts, which live floating in the Nhest, the game's hell. When they attack, they shoot fireballs and emit a high-pitched, characteristic meowing noise.
