Checkers is a classic strategy game for two players. The board is made up of a square grid of 64 squares alternating dark and light colors. Each player starts the game with a set of pieces, usually 12 white pieces for one player and 12 black pieces for the other. The main objective of the game is to capture all the opponent's pieces or block them, preventing their movements. Pieces move diagonally along empty squares on the board. The common pieces, also known as "stones", only move forward towards the opposite side of the board, but the "queen" (promoted piece) can move in all directions. opponent's piece that is adjacent and lands on an empty square behind it. If a piece reaches the bottom row of the opponent's board, it is promoted to queen, allowing it to move in all directions. The strategy is to capture opponent's pieces, avoid captures.
