Miami Heat is a professional basketball team based in Miami, Florida that plays in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. Founded in 1988, the team has won three NBA titles in 2006, 2012 and 2013. The Miami Heat is known for having great players on its roster, including Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal. Wade was the team's leader during the championship era, being named Finals MVP in 2006. James joined the team in 2010 and led the team to two NBA titles before returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014. has a strong presence in the Miami community, conducting numerous charitable activities and supporting non-profit organizations. They play their home matches at the American Airlines Arena and are owned by Carnival Corporation CEO Micky Arison.
