April 15th is World Art
April 15th is World Art Day, a day dedicated to celebrating art in its various forms, such as painting, sculpture, dance, music, theater and more. Established by UNESCO in 2012, the date aims to highlight the importance of art in society and its role in promoting culture, creativity and human expression.
The day also coincides with the birth anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci, one of the greatest artists and geniuses in history, who symbolizes the union between science, art and innovation. In many parts of the world, World Art Day is marked by exhibitions, presentations, workshops and educational events that involve artists, students and the general public, promoting access to art and its appreciation.
The celebration is an opportunity to reflect on the positive impact of art on personal development, identity construction and social transformation.
