History of Deyse Joaquim - Espirito Santo, Brasil
The Louvre Museum is known for its collection of art and antiques spanning nearly 9,000 years of history, including Leonardo da Vinci's iconic Mona Lisa. The museum was originally built as a castle in the 12th century, but was transformed into a museum during the French Revolution in 1793. Since then, it has expanded significantly and now occupies an area of over 60,000 square meters, housing over 380,000 objects and works of art. The Louvre Museum's collection includes pieces from many cultures and historical periods, from ancient Egyptian art to 19th-century European art. Some of the most famous pieces include the Victory of Samothrace, the Venus de Milo, the Great Sphinx of Tanis and, of course, the Mona Lisa. In addition to art and antiques, the Louvre Museum is also known for its impressive architecture, including the famous glass pyramid designed by architect IM Pei.
