After the release of sponsorships on the uniforms of Brazilian clubs, in 1982, Fortaleza was one of the first in the country to stamp an advertising logo on the shirt, by Construtora Engri Engenharia. In 2016, inspired by the Paysandu case, the club bet on something new once again, by creating its own brand of sports equipment, Leão 1918. Fortaleza was also one of the first clubs in Brazil to stamp the material manufacturer's brand sport, the Penalty, in 1982, continuing until 1984.
