In 2020, Gusttavo performed a live at his home during the COVID-19 pandemic, which became a huge success and had more than 50 million views. He is also a successful businessman with investments in farms, livestock and real estate. Furthermore, he owns his own record label, Balada Music. He has released over ten studio and live albums, as well as several singles. His musical genres are sertanejo and arrocha. Gusttavo is known for his live performances, which often last several hours and include a massive production with lights, special effects and fireworks. According to the singer, his influences come from his experiences with his suffering life, relationships, and appreciation for other artists ranging from sertanejos to axé. Of the 22 songs on the CD Gusttavo Lima e Você, 16 were composed by himself.
