Anime is a hand-drawn or CGI animation from Japan. The first Japanese commercial animations date back to 1917. A characteristic art style emerged in the 1960s with the works of mangaka Osamu Tezuka and spread in the following decades, developing a large domestic audience. A good part of the Japanese animations has its version in manga, the Japanese comics. Mangaká, are how manga artists are called and Osamu Tezuka is the most famous of them in Japan and Otaku is the term used to define people who are interested in Japanese pop culture, especially anime.
